Maybe a busy driver parked beside you and whacked your side panel when you weren’t looking; or you thunked your door or trunk on an awkward obstacle; maybe you got caught driving in a huge hailstorm or don’t have covered parking in severe weather? Maybe you’re ready to do a full paint job on your car and want it professionally prepped first. There are as many types of dent damage as there are individual driving scenarios. Most dings, creases and hail damage do not damage the original paint job and so are best fixed with PDR. The innovative and specialized service at Colorado Hail Claims allows us to fix a wide range of dent damage without costing our customers a cent.  We work with your Insurer to get under your vehicles skin and get it back to its original shape without making a dent in your deductible.

A key to perfect PDR is the dent’s location more than its size. Some panels, such as those on doors use reinforced structures or window and lock mechanisms that limit our access.  Dents near panel edges where metal is doubled over can prevent the best use of PDR too. We can easily gauge the internal body structures of most vehicles with a quick look. We also know in advance when damage is too extensive, in obstructed locations or where metal is stretched beyond its ‘memory point’, making it impossible for us to restore to its original factory finish.  Our goal is nothing less than 100% customer satisfaction and insist on work that is guaranteed to restore the value of your car to its pre-damaged state.

The first step is assessment. Our team collaborates to get you a free inspection and estimate for you and your Insurer. Once approved, we set to work under dedicated lighting using a highly streamlined process and specialized tech tools. The job may entail getting into the backside of a dent, so components like taillights or interior panels need to be temporarily removed. Sometimes a dent is located where there is no viable access point, so we use alternative pressure and pulling technologies, and unique rods and tips that allow us to work from the outside of the dent in, until it is totally removed. PDR is part art, part science and a whole lot of training, experience and patience to get it right every time.

Alongside our proven expertise, the success of your PDR job depends on the quality of your current paint job. For a full list of guidelines on when not to use PDR, drop us a line. If you want to talk more about which knockdowns, pivot tips, fender rods or whale tails will get your vehicle back to it’s shining best, then drop by our shop at 275 Waneka Pkwy in Lafayette Colorado or call Chris and Bret at 303 550 3318.  We’re a family of car guys who are always ready to talk about our passion.
